USB boot -> Linux -> VirtualBox on Linux ->
Windows on VirtualBox on Linux.
Good points:
- You can boot Windows from USB.
- You can use Linux and Windows at the same time.
Your comments are very welcome.

Re: Discussion about products, based on VirtualBox
I have just took another Look at VMlite Workstation 4.2.0-BETA r38938.
They are based on VBox code, *but*, some new features exist:
-Offline loop-mounter (u can loop mount VDi on Windows hosts)
-Shared folder are auto-mounted for special folders (My Documents, My Desktop, ...)
-Colored borders of seamless windows
-Improved Seamless mode: "Seamless Taskbar mode" (complete integration of taskbars)
-XP mode (downloads XP image from internet + automatically installs it, which is legal for Windows 7 users)

Are there any bare-metal hypervisors made by Oracle?

Re: Discussion about products, based on VirtualBox
How are these products using VirtualBox OSE?. In other words, what are the licensing implications of using VirtualBox OSE in a custom product?.
Do we need to sign any special license agreements with Oracle for using Virtualbox OSE?

The OSE can be reused following the GPL v2 terms.

The closest thing would be a thin client of some sort. but you would still be dealing with a full Linux kernel.

I think software to emulate Android system on Windows Genymotion is based on VBox, it needs installed VBox or we can download installer with VBox

yes, I know Genymotion, plus American Megatrends DuOS, another Android emulator, also based on VirtualBox.

Re: Discussion about products, based on VirtualBox
Odd, I just checked all eight SUSE related links, the openSUSE links and the SUSE Enterprise links and they all worked for me.
edit: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (SLES10) i386 seems to be broken so seven out of eight worked for me.

Yes, but it's the CERN vboxwrapper which allows the Scientific Linux programs written by CERN scientists to run unmodified on other Linuxes, Windows and Mac OS X which does not agree with the modifications included in Virtual Box after release 4.3.12, especially on Windows PCs, which are the great majority.

Re: Discussion about products, based on VirtualBox
If you go to the BOINC home page you'll see they they offer a package including the BOINC client for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows which includes the Virtual Box 4.3.12 so users will not be tempted to download the latest Virtual Box release and find that it does not work. As usual, us Linux and Mac users can do what we think best.
