Win7 (Home Premium)
AVG Free antivirus
Updated on16.07.14 from 4.3.12

Would not run at all gave this:

Sorry can't work out how to place the screenshot and it won't let me copy the text, can't paste don't have a url to insert in the code. etc.

I really shouldn't 'interfere' in Forums I never understand all the rules.
Sorry it won't happen again.

Here is the first couple of lines of the system's complaints:

Failed to verify process integrity: Unknown image file
\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\mpr.dll at
000007fef5d80000

I guess this is the same as everyone else with a fail on opening VirtualBox 4.3.14 fresh install.

Some good news:

Microsoft Security Essentials pre-release (version 4.6.205) works correctly with VB 4.3.14 on Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate (x86 AND x64).

No problems seen in these two configurations!

I think the devs have seen enough error messages from many different systems now and probably are working on a solution, so it seems quite useless to post more "me too, me too" messages. As far as I have seen, those repeat the already known facts and don´t give more information.

I agree, but I would also freeze the 4.3.14 download or, at least, add a big fat warning.

Old users, upgrading from older versions could revert to a previous one (they've already used it, successfully).

But what about a newcomer, trying VB (version 4.3.14) for the first time?
What will he/she think? Really bad advertisement.

Same problem happens with "Moo0 Window Menu Plus" on 8.1 Update 1 x64, I saw on Process Monitor that VirtualBox constantly opens and closes his dll and after few seconds shows error. Uninstall & restart fixed this (I don't have AV). Should I also report this to software's author?

Guys, please keep the commentary to a minimum. All we need here are the facts. This isn't an opinion column.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 and F-Secure Internet Security 2014.
Without the DeepGuard, the error does not occur.
