Cloning host OS into a vbox guest.

Hi,

I would like to create a VM guest by cloning my host os. Is it possible ?

Host OS is solaris 12_27

I think it is, or something similar is possible. Read the manual.

What you're looking for is a P2V procedure.

As Noteirak says, the technical term for this is a P2V migration (Physical to Virtual). Note however that internal search doesn't work for three letter words. Use Google instead, e.g. with search terms "P2V site:forums.virtualbox.org".

I did a full install, as I did not want the entire physical disk to be transferred to the vm.
