Are you sure it works? It shouldn't work for a Windows guest. And please, read the cases that it should work.

Host To Guest ONLY. Linux Guest ONLY. Guest Additions INSTALLED. Even then, not always.

For the rest of the problems that you mention, open a topic with an appropriate title for each problem.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Then the option should be grayed out then if it cant possibly work!!

Simply detect "OS Type" that the user set and test if additions are installed and then and only then show the menu.

Simple! And stops confusing newbies into thinking it should be working.

Don't wake the dead. This topic was started in 2012, long before VirtualBox 5.0, which has an entirely different drag and drop mechanism. Locking this.

p.s. If you want to start a new topic then I advise making your question clearer, though certainly keep it succinct. This is not SMS, there is no reason for me to have to decipher shortened words. If others are like me then they won't have the patience either - they'll just move on.
