Insulting? How? You're a quite sensitive spirit, aren't you? You must be proud to be a "volunteer"? How do you manage to bear such a burden?
Isn't too arrogant for volunteer speaking in that way "nobody wants to waste their precious time to look into your problems." To tell newbie to get lost is appropriate response, isn't it?
