Trying to install guest additions on a guest archlinux over host crunchbang (debian), I get the following message:
./*x86.run
Verifying archive ...

Unable to determine your linux distribution.

This is with virtualox-ose 3.2.10-dfsg-1,virtualox-ose-guest-utils 3.2.10-dfsg-1. virtualox-ose-guest-X11 3.2.10-dfsg-1. virtualox-ose-qt 3.2.10-dfsg-1.

I can boot other distributions into virtualbox, including archbang which is based on arch linux.

Archlinux will not boot into X org.

Although, shared folders, virtual window scale mode and

Where did you get your VirtualBox install from? We only support the version from VirtualBox. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

-The host is debian (crunchbang Waldorf):
http://crunchbang.org/download/get/crun ... 5-i686.iso
-the guest is archlinux most recent version:
http://archlinux.mirror.rafal.ca/iso/20 ... 1-dual.iso

The computer is a MSi X340, specs:
http://www.msimobile.com/level3_product ... d=4&id=168

I have installed:
-Debian 6.0 ("Squeeze") i386 virtualbox 4.2.6 r82870
-VBoxGuestAdditions_4.2.6.iso

The message error to the installation of guest addition thru:
[root@arch media]# ./*tions.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good

I have the same problem with Arch Linux. The host is Ubuntu 14.04. The version of VirtualBox is 4.3.10 (the newest at this time).
Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
[root@archvirtual ~]# ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
