I'm trying to test Microsoft Hyper-V within a VirtualBox guest. Hyper-V requires VT-X hardware acceleration in order to install. In the past, I've seen that if VT-X is disabled on the guest, then VT-X transfers over to the guest (this has been a long time ago). So I'm trying this now to see if it works. The problem is that VT-X acceleration cannot be disabled on my guest OS. I uncheck it, and it re-enables itself the next time I check.
I have tried editing the XML files to no avail.
Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: How to disable VT-X
You did not see that with VirtualBox. That's not how it works and it never worked that way. If something requires VT-x or AMD-V, you won't be able to install it in VirtualBox.emulator wrote:I'm trying to test Microsoft Hyper-V within a VirtualBox guest.
