I am running a ubuntu gusty host with vista guest in 1.5.4 i have enabled guest additions, and have full usb, shared folders, etc support. however when i try to use my ironkey in the virtualized vista it wont work. ironkey is a secure usb drive that uses an auto run format to access the drive. basically it runs as a read only cd. is anyone familar with this product and is there a way to make it work in virtualbox vista. (it is not currently supported in linux). ...i was thinking running it as a cd drive but am unsure how to do this...

Ironkey working on Windows guest on Ubuntu host
I was having an issue, however here is how I fixed it, sorta. The USB 2.0 stuff that is virtual box, I guess does not meet the needs of ironkey, and therefore does not behave.
This sucks, but you can get to your data. Disable the EHCI option under the USB config before you boot the virtual system. It will be USB 1.1 and slow (11mbps) but works like a charm...
