- Mac OS X Lion Allows virtualization. It means that upcoming 4.1.0 docs must stop focus on the "Mac OS X Server" term.
Frank: perhaps we will change that in the future, but currently we only support Mac OS X server
1.1. Same for GUI - OS types. - Changelog:
"Windows guests: Experimental WDDM graphics driver" -->
"Windows guests: Experimental WDDM / Aero graphics driver"
(solved in my patch) - WONTFIX Changelog:
VMM: raised the memory limit for 64-bit hosts to 1TB
My understanding is that guest VM RAM limit was raised *on* 64-bit hosts. (not *for*)
Frank: as written below, the current phrase seems to be not that wrong - WONTFIX Changelog:
Guest Additions: modules and features now are represented as facilities to have a common interface for frontends.
This one I re-read several times, but compeletely unable to understand it's meaning.
I see the various 'facilities' in "showvminfo" command, but don't understand it's advantages vs. 4.0. - Changelog lacks: (minor)
GUI: CPU execution cap
Frank: Problem here is that this feature is actually also available in VBox 4.0 but less integration (no GUI support at all)
(solved in my patch) - FIXED: "1.5. Installing VirtualBox and extension packs"
Should mention "PCI passthrough".
Frank: Already done in 4.1 Beta 3 - FIXED in BETA3: Docs for GuestControl Execute outdated
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=42724 - "6.8 VDE networking" It can only run, if you have library installed into "/usr/lib/libvdeplug.so" location. (for other locations you can hardlink)
(solved in my patch) - Changelog lacks: (minor)
USB Tablet device now supports Windows 98 guests
(solved in my patch)

Re: Docs: minor things
That is how you understand the language. Both are correct. The one used doesn't make much sense if you are not completely familiar with the language (usually if it's your second language). If I would make a literal translation to my native language, it makes perfect sense. You change something for something, not on something. The latter would mean that you put it onto something, which can't be done in this situation.Technologov wrote:3. Changelog:

So it's not wrong. It's how you interpret the words and language. If you want it to be without any confusion of use of words, it would be this instead:
VMM: 64-bit hosts are now limited up to 1TB of memory for guests.

Re: Docs: minor things
Sending such patches to vbox-dev in addition to post them here does not help, it only raises the noise. Most of the issues you reported were fixed in the final release.
