Shared folders not working

Reading VirtualBox manual, I reached the 4.4 section: Folder sharing. But it doesn't work.

I have installed Guest Additions and set a shared folder in VM settings. Still, "My Network Places" on my Windows XP guest are empty. Where did I go wrong?

Host is the Ubuntu Gutsy, BTW.

Have you tried "net use" command like described in User Doc?

What? How? I could have sworn that it didn't work before. It was something like "cannot find host". Oh, well. It works now. I probably mistyped something...

If XP is the guest, Look in "Network Nieghborhood" selecting "entire Network".

You should see "Virtualbox Shared Folders" there.

look in "My Network places" then click "entire network" in left side frame.

On the lest hand side, in the box that says "Other Places", you'll find "desktop", "entire network", "My Documents" as well as other options. Click on "Entire Network"

Like I said, it's not there. Only Desktop, My Computer, My Documents, Shared Documents and Printers and Faxes. It doesn't matter anyway. net use works.
