VB 4.0.2
WinXP sp3 guest
Since upgrading to VB v.4.0.0, then .2, any attempt to run a Java program results in javaw.exe going into an infinite loop consuming 100% of at least one CPU. Any later version of Java 6, e.g. the current update is 23, exhibits this problem. When I reverted to Java 6 update 3, the problem went away. Now, of course, I get periodic reminders about updating Java.
There may be versions between 3 and 21 that are okay as well. I did not have the patience to try them.
Is there some setting in VB that clears this problem?
Or is this an actual Windows mess?

Re: Java is broken on VB v4
I noticed the same thing when I tried to update to the latest version of JAVA on one of my XP guests. I have not tried to run it down yet but think I will post a ticket on bugtracker and see what the DEVs have to say about it. I would suspect that is has to actually do with JAVA but let's see. I'll post the ticket number here after a bit in case you would like to add your experience to it.
