How do I find my HWID on a VirtualBox?

Post by riptyde »

I've read that your HWID is different on each virtualbox, and wanted to know if this is true, and if so...how can I find out what it is? I need to get it for the authentication of a program I'm trying to purchase.

That is the same as the VM UUID, but can be changed using VBoxManage modifyvm sethwuuid or something. The correct syntax is in the manual.
