Shortcut problem appeared in VirtualBox 1.5.4

Post by abcuser »

Hi,
today I have downloaded and installed VirtualBox 1.5.4 on Windows XP host running Ubuntu 7.10 as guest.

In Ubuntu I like to have a shortcut for executing Terminal, so I created shortcut from System | Preferences | Keybord Shortcuts | Run a terminal and selected Windows key "Super L".

When I have maximized VirtualBox window and I press Super L key Windows XP Start menu pops up (which is not OK) and the same time in Ubuntu Terminal window opens (which is OK). It is little bit annoying to see this Windows XP start menu after pressing Windows-key.

This problem appeared after installing VirtualBox 1.5.4. This was NOT a problem in VirtualBox 1.5.2.

Is this a bug?
Any idea how to get rid of Windows pop-up?

Thanks,

Hi,
today I have installed virtualbox 1.5.6 on Windows XP sp2 host and ubuntu 7.10 as guest. I have also installed "Guest Additions" in Ubuntu guest and problem has not disappeared.

Is there a workaround? How to fix this? Is this a bug? Is there any simple way to report bug?
Thanks,
