ALSA Sound on Virtualbox

i am using slackware 12 as a host system and my audigy soundcard handels ALSA deamon correctly.

no i activated ALSA as sound system on Virtualbox whit as Guest system
windows XP sp2.
but i don't have any sound on virtualbox guest machine..

i am hearing sound now.
but ist on volume 1??
is there a possible way to fix this.,
audioplayers got some sort of gain and whit that i have normal sound.
but wright now whit virtualbox it's soft ass ****
im hearing something, i now its music but i can not understand

a vm is not designed for multimedia.

vmware and qemu has same problems, sound is choppy.

its better to use windows as main os if you need multimedia applications.
