I got virtualbox installed on windows xp and debian stable as a guest, got VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run installed and the modules are loaded, so I'm pretty happy with my progress so far. I have gpm installed for the console mouse service and at the console the behavior is captive and Host key to release and clipboard to put doesn't work. So I guess the question is can mouse integration work at the console and if so what do I need to read or do to get it to work?
Thanks!

Re: mouse intergration and the console
AFAIK the mouse integration and the clipboard that are part of the guest additions only work under X.

Re: mouse intergration and the console
I also suffer from the same limitation: guest additions are reported to be detected, but console mouse integration does not work. Can anybody add a "feature request" in a bugtracker? The only related bug I found was Add option to completely disable mouse capturing (although the menu item is present, it does not work for console mode).

You can add the feature request yourself. bugtracker. You will need to setup an account there as it is on a different system.
