That's what I tried before (when I was playing around with a shutdown script). However I found the the startup script did not run in time, i.e. WPA read the "other" version first, before the correct one could be copied over the top. Secondly of course this still doesn't get around the possible genuine advantage problem (since you have two hardware profiles registered to one license).
However the updated (and much easier) method which I've tested surely is much better since Windows thinks the hardware is similar enough... so I'm happy now
