Windows 7 guest, 32 or 64-bit?

Post by jmayson »

I have a Macbook with 4 GB of RAM running Snow Leopard. I'm using VirtualBox 3.1.4 r57640. I decided to install Windows 7 as a guest OS. I installed both the 32 and 64-bit versions. After installation they ran equally well, so I trashed the 32-bit version. Lately Windows 7 is all but unusable. Should have I stuck with the 32-bit version? Or is something else going on? I searched around and only found threads about trying to install 64-bit versions and couldn't find anything dealing with performance.
