Hello friends,
I have VB 3.1.4 running on a mini with SL Server which is hosting a bitnami appliance. The guest is configured for bridge networking and when I start the VM, I can successfully access the web app from any computer on our internal network at http://192.168.1.x. However, when I try to access the same web app from outside our network, I can NOT access it. I have a dd-wrt router that is configured to forward port 80 requests to 192.168.1.x
Here's the part that's killing me. When I launch the same virtual appliance on a VBox running on a Vista host, I can access it from outside my network no problem with the same router configuration. Any thoughts on what's going on?
Thank you for your time.
Access guest web server from outside LAN
Re: Access guest web server from outside LAN
Make sure the x part is properly routed, use some external port testing site to see if the port is really open, some ISP block port 80 by default.
