Mouse won't start

i have a very strange issue...i had a Windows SBS 2003 box virtualized on different Windows Storage Server 2003 host. all was going great, i imaged and moved my guest to a physical box and had no issues. upon cleaning up, by cleaning up i mean checking the Autorun entries via the sysinternals utility, i removed the entries for the SFVbox Mouse...along with some others, i rebooted, all is well - except my mouse doesn't move. in Device Manager, i get this device cannot start code 10. i've been researching for weeks but have had no success, i thought i came close by removing the upperfilters entry from the classes reg key...but still no luck. anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions? mouse works fine via vnc or rdp...
