Unuble to register windows

Hi,
I've installed virtualbox-ose from ubuntu repository and I've installed my xp oem system as guest.
When I try to register xp using the internet connection, it tries the connectivity and says that there is non connectivity, but if I open IE and search for www.google.com it find the page and I can navigate.
So what is the problem?
Moreover, I would like, after the registration process, to isolate my virtual system avoiding it to go to internet, but leaving the possibility to share files between guest and host. How can I do?

Try disabling all Firewalls for a moment.
