I am new to virtualbox in that I had it set up for me. My basic question is how to change the resolution of XP that is running inside virtualbox.
Background: My os is Fedora 8. XP is installed in the virtualbox and runs great except that the size of the screen is about 8" by 8" the same size as virtualbox's screen size. My notebook screen resolution is 1280 x 800. I would like both virtualbox and XP to stretch to the size of my 15.4 notebook screen. Is this possible?
If so, I need details please since I am new to Fedora and VirtualBox.
Thanks in advance and excuse me if this has been posted before.

Cannot find the download for the Guest Additions
I'm sorry, but I looked and could not find the link to download the Guest Additions. I am specifically looking for the Guest Additions for Linux as I am trying to run a Ubuntu guest on an XP Host, and the screen resolution is too small to see the install screens.

Guest additions is already on your machine
I see this post is not that recent, but seemed to be not clearly answered either.
Guest Additions is already on your host machine. What you need is to install Guest additions into your guest. I believe what stefan.becker was trying to say was that if you download the user manual from the download page, it has instructions on how to install guest additions into the guest operating system. For the current version of the manual is is section 4.2.1 for a windows guest.

The host VirtualBox window takes up screen real estate, so a maximized guest running inside of it would never reach the full native screen resolution even with Guest Additions installed.mrgrieves wrote:guest additions is not always the anwser ... I've succesfully installed GA on my fedora 9 guest and I'm still not able to get a 1280x800 resolution. I run a windows host on a dell latitude d420 which has a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.
Have you tried running your Fedora guest in full-screen mode (<CTRL-F>)? With the host window removed, the guest should have access to the full screen resolution.
