Ever seen this error?

Post by womcs »

Hi,

I upgraded from VirtualBox 2.1.2 r41885 win.x86 to 3.0.10 and now all my VMs crash at boot. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm getting this error too. With version 3.0.8 or below everything worked fine, but the update to 3.0.10 broke it...

EDIT: I'm using the Linux (64 Bit) version of VirtualBox, it seems that this is not a Windows-specific error...

Happening for me too - running Ubuntu 9.10 RC. Can't start any VM - currently got XP and Debian as VMs on my host. Seems like this package should never have been released.

Wait a few hours for the true final of 3.0.10. For now, downgrade back to the previous version.

I got a crash immediately on trying to start XP guest after upgrade too (64 bit 8.04 Ubuntu host, upgraded from VirtualBox 2.2 - guest extensions previously just deinstalled from XP guest). Tried restart and a few other things that didn't help.

It *did* boot after I disabled CDROM, sound, LAN, and set VT-X (don't know what was the magic ingredient).

After that I re-enabled CDROM, sound, LAN and all working fine. Also tried multi CPU support on Quad core Q6600, but XP was incredibly slow so had to change back to single core.
