So now I'll go get the Live CD and try again.The -ai- images are not bootable. It is only used for an Automated Install via the network.
Currently one can perform an OpenSolaris install in one of 2 ways.
LiveMedia (via CD or USB) supported for x86 systems only.
Automated Install for a network install much like Jumpstart supported for both x86 and SPARC systems.
I just wanted to pass this along since others will no-doubt try to do the same thing.
