I ran into problems that my silent installation of a minimal CentOS suddenly did not work any longer (see also viewtopic.php?f=1&t=98010).
After a longer investigation I found that this results from a change to the CentOS repository and is related to the file

Find attach the script, feel free to incoporate it into future Virtual Box releases.
