Allow host to access NAT virtual machine
Allow host to access NAT virtual machine
Hope virtualbox provide the feature to allow the host access NAT virtual machine (with private IP address). Both qemu and vmware provide this feature.

Re: Allow host to access NAT virtual machine
These are the VirtualBox user discussion forums. We are not interested in what QEMU and VMWare do.
NAT, by definition, does not allow "outside access" by default, not in the physical world and not in a virtual network. You could set up port forwarding, but probably shouldn't. If you want the host and VM to be peers on the physical network (i.e. communicate freely in both directions with Internet access) then bridged networking is the one to use. There are other options, but NAT and bridged are the only ones I ever use.
