LOL

Edit: I shouldn't laugh. Oliver Stone may read this thread and make JFK 2.

It's exactly where one would expect to find it -- Control Panel / Programs / Uninstall a program.

Michal, I suspect he's looking inside the guest, hence his difficulty finding his HD, his antivirus, or a removal tool. It's either a troll or he doesn't have a blind clue what a VM is, which makes you wonder how he managed to get a guest OS working. Perhaps he was given a working VM.

It is indeed, we've noticed and working on it, but thank you for the resport, at least it is now mentioned.

Just curious. Anyone know why it takes 7 minutes to receive an "instant email notification" once something is posted to a thread? Somehow 7 minutes doesn't seem that instant.

Guess: your email client only checks for new incoming every 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

actually no. if my s/o emails me from her account which is Yahoo and Mine is Gmail I get it in 1-3 seconds

edit: besides, if it only checked every 10 or 15 minutes I wouldn't get them in 7 :) sometimes it may take 10 seconds btw. if I email myself I get it virtually instantly.

You could have a look at the "Received:" lines in the mail header to see the time it was sent and received.

Or the U.S. Government took a while to inspect the e-mail ;) Who knows.

In my experience, e-mails don't always arrive quickly, but it tends to be hard to track down where exactly things are held up.

good point and I just did. it only took 1 min 11 seconds from the time it left there until Google received it. I'm not sure why it takes another 6 mins for me to see it. PRISM maybe :)

If your email client checked every 15 minutes then you would receive emails, on average, 7mins 30 seconds after the email was sent, assuming that no other delays are involved, and that the timing of the transmission is random.

I understand what you're saying but, first I use the web interface, and it still doesn't explain why I get emails from my s/o in less than 30 secs but it's not very important. the only reason I was asking was because of trying to help someone on the forum and a round trip of 14 mins between a Q. and an A. takes its toll.

but thanks everyone :)
