Hello Everyone.
I am trying to find posibility to share folders between host and VMs, but with original permisions.
I know that 99% of users is gratefoul that when they share folder, they do not need think about permisions, they only need to add user to vboxsf group, and thet have access to all files, but sometimes permisions are usefoul. If i will connect my vm's to this same directory i can restrict access for files. One more checkbox in sharing folder menu "keep original permisions" will be raely good idea for me.

Re: Keep permisions when sharing folder
VirtualBox's shared folders present a very simplified file system implementation, just enough to read/write files from/to the guest. Many applications can error when using shared folders, because they expect advanced features, like file locking or access controls, which don't exist for shared folders.
Use true network shares if you want to achieve that level of sharing.
