VB on my MacBook Pro, when cloning a machine that is located on an external drive (since I don't have the space on my SSD to host them) the clone operation failed due to lack of space. However, the external drive where the source VM is located has plenty of room to accommodate the clone. In the end I had to resort to an OS copy/paste followed by manual setting of the UUIDs and MAC addresses. An unnecessary hassle.
Suggestion is as per the title.
Cheers.

You can do this "only" from the command line at this point. See https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch08. ... ge-clonevm
