move Pause menu away from Reset to prevent accidental loss of work!

Post by alienpup »

I press the Pause menu on my Virtualbox VMs a lot.
I also accidentally press one pixel below that and hit the Reset menu, instantly rebooting the VM and causing me to LOSE A LOT OF WORK. Regularly.

But this oversight can easily be fixed.
Please 1) add the option of "Are you sure you want to Reset?"... it seems crazy not having this in the first place!?
and 2) add a "____" menu line seperator to help prevent inadvertant clicks

Thankyou

add the option of "Are you sure you want to Reset?
It was there to start with. Usually people click improperly to remove the warning but this can be reset. Look under the file tab in the main manager and click to reset all warnings.

Thankyou. I'm still a bit confused about what you said though ... I don't recall ever seeing let alone turning off any "Ask for confirmation on reset?" Preferences setting, and when I go File -> Reset All Warnings (had never clicked it before as I had no idea what it was for) it seems to do nothing? No messagebox or anything

The reset all warnings brings the defaults back. You may need to close the guest and the main manager and start them again for the changes to take effect.
