I use both VMWare and VirtualBox. At home, I would really like to stick to VirtualBox because my PC is running Linux only (no multiple boots) and most of the games my children (L, 7 years and A,9 years old) play with require WinXP, and for children of that age, VirtualBox is undoubtedly much easier to use than VMWare.
Although L and A have their own Linux logins, they do not need a WinXP virtual machine each. The problem is how can I create a VM which is accessible to both L and A in a Linux session ?
The problem is easy to solve with WMWare because it has a functionality which allows a user of the host to define a VM as a "public" one. Under that setting, the VM is accessible (rwx) to any other user of the same host.
I think this feature is missing in VirtualBox and it would significantly improve its ergonomy of a future release.
