In Linux Hosts, integer scaling for seamless and full-screen

Post by lmelahn »

Hello,

I have VirtualBox installed on both MacOS and Linux. I have a Retina display (2560x1600 pixels), and I run Windows 7 as a guest.

In MacOS, VirtualBox automatically scales the guest windows by a factor of 2 (which is necessary to read the icons), even in "normal," seamless mode and full-screen mode.

Is it possible to add that functionality to the Linux version? Even if it is not automatic, just an option would be most appreciated.

(Right now, I can survive by playing with the "scale" mode and appropriately adjusting the size of the screen to exactly 1280 x 1550 pixels. Maximizing the scaled window makes it function as a sort of substitute for the full-screen mode.)
