Thanks,

Sorry, I just see that I make a mistake (minor mistakes but not beautiful in the UI)

No problem, I dread to think how many aesthetical problems there are in the bits I did (I often don't have time to look at the UI where the translations belong while I am doing them). Fixed in SVN. Thanks!

Hi

I just installed VirtualBox 3.0.4 (great work !) on WinXP Host, and found some typos in the French translation :

1/ Alert box named "VirtualBox - Information" :

... L'icône de souris de la barre _de_ (not "se") statut prendra...

2/ Another alert box, with the same caption :

... alors que le mode couleur de l'écran _virtuel_ (not "virtuelle") est de 24 bits...

... pour utiliser _un_ mode _couleur_ (not "une mode coleur") 32 bits si possible...

3/ Mouse integration Tooltip :

...Intégration souris _(_MI) en service (the opening parenthesis is missing)

4/ USB Tooltip

... Aucun appareil USB n'est attaché... : I'd rather say "Aucun appareil USB n'est connecté", but YMMV !

I know it's only tiny cosmetic mods, but I hope it can help !

Rgds

Laurent

Thanks, fixed. In fact, I replaced all uses of "attached" in the English text by "connecté" (for USB devices and hard disks) or "inséré" (for floppies and DVDs), and "attachment" (as in a hard disk image attached to a hard disk controller) by "connexion". I'm not quite happy with that last one, but I think it is still better in French than "attachement". Hope I didn't miss too many places :)

Hello :)

I just test the 3.0.6 beta1 version. This text is not translate in French, but it seems already translate in the SVN version since many week (revision 22179, 2009-08-11 18:33:20)

I think it was the same with 3.0.4 version (forgot to include the lastest compile qm/.ts file?)

Thanks :D

Slightly delayed answer... this will be fixed in the final 3.0.6 release. Thanks for pointing it out!

Fixes committed, thanks! By the way, it just occurred to me that I could also post the diffs for any new translations I add to this topic, to save you from searching through everything. Would you like me to do that?

I think that a couple of mistakes in earlier revisions are already corrected in newer ones. Trac doesn't seem to like accents :(

Hello!
Thanks for all the corrections! But how do I set it up for French if I already have it installed and running in english? I can't find a menu option for it, should I replace files in the source??
I'm using version 4.0.
Thank you!

Hello Jacky672,

Happy New Year and sorry that I took so long to respond. Thanks for the update! We have a new maintainer for the French translation, and I pointed him to your changes, but since I am still waiting for a response from him I will review them myself and commit them. I will ask him if he can post an update here when he does respond.

Regards,

Michael
