First, thanks a lot for the 1.6.0 version. Very good work!!!


I notice some mistakes in French translation :

In the manual, we also speak about a "clienttest.java" file (page 126). But this file doesn't exist. (Windows Vista 32bits)

The manual in the install directory of VirtualBox (3 558Ko) seems to be different as manual in the website (4 074Ko).

Ahem, I was sure I had fixed those. Re-fixing and re-committing. Thanks! (BTW, if you are interested in improving the French translation, you could even take a look through the translation file - every time I look in there I find a typo, and I am not a native speaker at that).

I will do that but I’m not sure where is the translation file.
If it’s C:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox\nls\VirtualBox_fr.qm I don’t know how to read it, there is no readable characters when I open it with notepad.

The human-readible translation file is available in the VirtualBox source code, and can be downloaded as a single file at http://www.virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4/nls/VirtualBox_fr.ts?format=raw. You can edit it with the Qt4 Linguist application (or with Notepad if you are careful of the formatting). You could also post mistakes here, but I fear the list might get rather long

I have corrected the mistakes that you pointed out. If you want to do a more detailed correction, then you can download the translation file using the link that I gave above to make corrections to it and post a link to the updated file (mention the date that you downloaded the original file on, to help me re-integrate your corrections).

Since Kuja IX has also expressed interest on helping with this, you should probably co-ordinate your work with each other to avoid duplicating work.

By the way, it would also be nice if you submit significant corrections if you could include a statement that we can use them under the MIT software licence. And you should also say whether you would like to be included on the authors list for the translation.
