clarify license when it comes to optional files

Post by allenwrench »

Hi, I would like clarification that VirtualBox is GPLv2, but what exceptions apply? The optional files are CDDL and are therefore incompatible with GPL but does Oracle make it known that the exception exists when combining all files? It isn't as clear as OpenJDK where it has the classpath exception.

No problem. Just to clarify, there are the PUEL "Extension Pack" and the GPL Guest Additions.
