I am using VBox 5.2.10 on a Linux host with a Win7 VM.
When editing an existing Shared Folder, please stop auto-changing the shared "Folder Name".
It makes sense to suggest a name when creating a new share, but existing shares could easily have mapped drives in the VM that use the share name, and changing the name breaks those mapped drives.
For example, /media/MyLongFolderName is shared as MyData. If I rename the share to /mnt/partition2/MySharedData, VBox changes my existing share name (MyData) to the new folder name (MySharedData).
Obviously, I can edit the name when I change the folder path. But I don't expect an existing name to be changed, so I don't think to edit that value until I restart the VM and get a bunch of errors.

Re: Editing shared folders
Where and how do you rename the share?
