Deleting remnants of Virtual Box

Post by ACW342 »

I tried to install VB on my iMac In Nov '19. whatever I did, I did it wrong. Personal circumstances dictated that had to forget about trivial things in life for a while. Anyway, I now have a volume on container disk 2 labelled VM which has space of just under 30GB. Obviously I want to reclaim this space but I don't know how to go about it. I did try the uninstaller in the package but to no avail. below is the copy of the Diskutil List. Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks, A342

VirtualBox is not special. It's a normal program which can be uninstalled, and has data files which can be deleted.

User Manual Section 10.1 - Where VirtualBox Stores Its Files.

Try Google, and you'll find out about the APFS volume for Virtual Memory, which is used for swap space and has nothing to do with VirtualBox.
