Which GPU for MacBook Pro running Linux via virtualbox?

Postby realvirtualboxuser » 19. Jun 2019, 22:32

Hi, I am considering to buy a MacBook Pro 2019 15" to run Linux via Virtualbox. Can VirtualBox take advantage of the discrete GPU? Any merit in upgrading the GPU from AMD 560X and Vega 20?

VirtualBox, like any other virtualization solution out there, don't use directly the host GPU, they have a fake GPU. Merit in upgrading? Not for VirtualBox so far.

Moving to "OSX Hosts", as this is not a "Linux Guests" question.
