Why, oh why do you want to pass the devices to WinXP? Which device in particular?

BTW, you won't find any drivers, you can forget it. I don't know what you want to do, what you have in mind. Can you explain?

Ok maybe I should clarify

I am running virtual box on a macbook air

I am running winxp on virtualbox (the os I have and the one that works with old applications I need to flash wifi routers)

I need XP in Virtualbox to recognize the Mac usb ports where I usually attach a usb ethernet adapter to communicate with the wifi routers.

When I add the USB port (bottom right of virtualbox XP asks for drivers)

I have done it before at the time I found the drivers that permit Xp to recognise and usb Mac hardware I just can't find the drivers anymore.

No, you don't need to (and you can't in any event) recognize the USB ports. Only the devices that are connected can be attached/passed to the guest. Not the ports/hubs, etc.

No you haven't. A "port" or a hub, is not a USB class that can be grabbed by the guest. I've asked for it from the developers specifically, that's why I know it won't happen.

So, you get an IP address out of that or something similar.

Oh, and finding the drivers is another beast altogether. For XP? Are you sure? The earliest Bootcamp drivers I remember were for Win7. In any event I have a bunch of them, and I could give them, the Apple license is not restrictive for redistribution (if I remember correctly). But there were no XP drivers.

How about you describing exactly the setup, the devices involved, the OS, hardware, software, so that we can see what's the best approach to do whatever it is you need to do. THIS is the important part.
