Hallo Ihr Experten,

Your suspicion is not correct. You don't need to have drivers for a device in your host in order to use it in your guest. I've got a signal analyzer that has drivers only for Win2K, can't use it on OSX (my host). I can use it just fine on a Win2K VM. Same with an A/V converter.DeepL translator wrote:I am running a VM with Windows 2010 on OS X 10.10.5. On Windows I have installed the driver for a USB slide scanner, but I can't control it there and I suspect that this is because there is no driver for OS X.
The control of your device is a different problem. Scanners/printers are a bit "difficult" to work inside a VM for some unknown reason. It might help if you post the details of your setup (USB2/3, hub) and details of your VM.
