Mouse Stops Working in CentOS 7

Post by iqgrande »

Greetings:

When I run GNOME Terminal version 3.28.2 within CentOS-7, at times it will make it to where any click I do outside of the terminal window doesn't work but clicks inside will (including the menus). If I type the command
exit
to close the terminal window, then mouse usage is restored. This is very awkward behavior that I haven't seen within other CentOS forums which makes me think it has something to do with VirtualBox. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you for your help with this.

Host OS:
I am also running the latest version of the Extension Pack.

There are some known issues with the kernel in RHEL 7.6 and CentOS 7.6 when it comes to mouse clicks. You may be suffering from a manifestation of the same issue. There is more information in Mouse only usable within single application after mouse click on RHEL 7.6 (#18124) and the related ticket #18124: Mouse only usable within single application after mouse click on RHEL 7.6.
