@VortualBix Thanks for the information. Which guest OS is this exactly? Pinpointing this further, this looks like a Core Audio backend problem then.

Soundblaster gave CPU-usage -- but not fully exhausted cpus, maybe 40-50% saturation.

I will not be able to exchange my "production" VB for a testbuild in my work-environment, sorry.
