[WorksForMe] error starting vm on 10.13.4

hi,

(UPDATED - close this one down, workaround below)

i have reinstalled the latest virtual box. i successfully created a virtual machine, but can't boot it up with a cd/dvd of the ubuntu OS i want to install. i get these errors. any ideas?

Make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully.
where: suplibOsInit what: 3 VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED (-1908) - The support driver is not installed. On linux, open returned ENOENT. 
and finally the log, it wants to send to apple is attached

close this one down, i have a workaround from reading between the lines of other posts.

1) reboot
2) startup VM
3) go into security setting of OSX and allow oracle america
4) machine starts up

there is some sort of time limit between starting up and being able to make the security change, a reboot resets that "clock"
