I'm running VB 5.1.22 on macos Sierra 10.12.5 on a new MacBook Pro (touch bar, 2.9GHz, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM). I have a Windows 7 Ultimate guest.
I have some serial devices (FTDI and Cypress) that show up in VB. I can select them and I can access them from Windows OK. However, when I release them via the Devices=>USB menu, the devices do not reappear in macos (in the /dev/ directory).
The only way to get the device entries back in macos host is to reboot the host :-/
Is this a known problem?
Is there a known solution or work around?
Thanks, Brendan.
