Ubuntu doen't want to work in fullscreen

Hi, i've install Ubuntu 8.10 on my MacBook using virtualbox. Everything works fine but, althought I've run the GuestAdditions, Ubuntu doesnt' want to work in fullscreen.

Installing the last VirtualBox version has solve the problem... Cool

In regards to your post I would be grateful to know (not ever having tried other OS's on Mac) how you went about running the guest additions in Mac OSX

I am running Ubuntu 8.04.1 from a dmg & can not get full screen only 800x600 on a macbook pro with a RES 1920 X1200
Plain english for an oldie please
