Good morning
please, help me...the situation: virtualbox is working on macbook pro 17" with OSX 10.8.5, it virtualizes W10.
I have to update to OSX 10.10 or earlier: Have I to reinstal completely virtualbox and W10 or is enough update virtualbox (tipically at its startup is noticed a new release available)?

You will have to re-install VirtualBox, just to be sure. You do NOT have to re-install your Win10 VM, or any other VM.
