How to Debug Stucked Ubuntu 14.04 in VB of El Capitan?

Postby masi » 25. Mar 2016, 15:47

My system complains about 0 bit left when loging as Guest. The system is stucked when trying to login in my user account.
I increased the disk space of VirtualBox from 8 GB to 20 GB but I still get the error.

Command I used

Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
VBoxManage modifyhd "/Users/masi/VirtualBox VMs/Ubuntu 14.04 64bit/Ubuntu 14.04 64bit.vdi" --resize 20000

I cannot login to Ubuntu's TTYs to debug this further. I do not understand the general procedure about how to debug a virtual OS inside VirtualBox.

How can you debug Ubuntu 14.04 inside El Capitan?

Pay close attention to step 2

Also if you selected to use LVM when you installed you would need to use LVM to extend the primary partition. Seek assistance from Ubuntu on how to do that.
