running OSX.10.2
using windows 10 beta though virtual box version 4.3.30
here is the problem. i had held off on updating virtual box. i kept getting a notice (you are using an outdated virtual box) or something close to this. so today i finally decided to update and install... and none of my virtual machines would open. so i spent the whole day building a new machine and importing the old data-files and when i open teh new machine, it's like a blank, newly installed operating system on a factory fresh computer. none of my files are in there.
i don't really care about anything, other than getting the files i had in the virtual machine out. i have three files in there that i don't have any copies of, other than the backups i had made... sadly inside the virtual machine. lesson learned, but is there anything i can do to get those files out and onto my host machine now that the virtual machines have been wiped?
updating lost my files
