There are three groups of people. Those that can count and those that can't.

You forgot only the most important thing. Is this a system with SMAP? Without? Or both?

If I knew what SMAP was I probably wouldn't have left it out.
FWIW it's a 2015 MacBook with an Intel Core M-5Y51.

Same problem here.
Mac OS X 10.11 Beta (15A244d), MacBook Pro 13" Early 2015 (MacBookPro12,1), Core i7-5557U (Broadwell), VB 5.0.2-r102096
I can successfully run an older pre-release version of VB 5.0.0-r101573, but on the older VB 4.3.30-r101610 I got an SMAP fault kernel panic.
There seems to be an existing bug 14412 that describes this problem.

I just thought I would point out that VB 5.0.0 starts guests and 3D works on the above mentioned MacBook.

I have encountered this too, it is exactly issue = 14412 mentioned above.
It sounds like a regression, please add any details if you can or follow it for resolution.
