Running intel iMac with OS-X Tiger and VBox Beta 3 -- cannot link to shared folder in My Network Places unless logged in as administrator. How to I give permission to my "regular user" account to use the folder vbox shares with my iMac?

First, I would try to update to the current version 1.6 (very soon 1.6.2, as far as I can see it).
Maybe this already solves the problem.

This will be fixed in the upcoming version 1.6.2.
