Networking issues

Post by AlanL »

More than one issue, so please forgive me for stacking them up. They may be connected.

Host: 10.9.5 on retina MBP
Guest: Win7 64-bit installed on bootcamp
VB Version: 4.3.22 r98236
Guest additions: VBoxGuestAdditions_4.3.23-98282.iso
Network Adapter 1: NAT, Promiscuous mode on for VMs only, Cabled Connected
Network Adapter 2: Bridged Adapter en0 wifi, Promiscuous mode on for VMs only

1. VBOXSRVR displays no content. I have mapped a network drive using VirtualBox Manager (F:) that displays the host directory but the client (Windows) shows Disconnected Network Drive (F:). I can open files on the host through F despite Windows reports it is not connected.
2. Bidirectional Drag and Drop is enabled but does not work, in either direction.
3. The client reports no network connections are found including internet or ethernet, however Firefox on the client loads internet content correctly.

Thanks. Installed those GAs (note above).

Have managed to get services running with bridged adapter and fiddling until it all worked.

The issue of the F drive remains (shows as Disconnected in Windows but all files are are accessible).
